AirAsia New Domestic Route – AirAsia further stamps its mark on the revival of domestic tourism in Malaysia with the announcement of eight new routes, along with redemption details of the recent collaboration with Ministry of Arts, Tourism and Culture’s (MOTAC) stimulus package offering RM50 e-vouchers.

FRASER HILL
Fraser Hill
Fraser’s Hill is a highland resort destination nestled among the mountains of Pahang, located two hours away from Kuala Lumpur. Locally known as Bukit Fraser, this cooling holiday retreat is popular for its nature activities and cooling climate, being one of the last hill stations of Malaysia, an imprint by former British colonial masters.
Fraser’s Hill has its roots in the 1890s, when Scottish prospector Louis James Fraser opened up a tin mine but mysteriously vanished in 1915. In 1917, the bishop of Singapore rediscovered Fraser’s Hill while on a hunt for the man, providing suggestions for the area to be developed into a hill station which was brought to fruition by authorities.
FRASER HILL ATTRACTIONS
1. The Paddock
The Paddock opens from 9am till 4pm daily (break for lunch in afternoon), except for Saturdays and public holidays where it closes at 5pm.
Horse Riding : RM 10 per adult, RM 8 per child, RM 15 (1 adult with 1 child)
Archery : RM 10 per person (10 arrows)
Blow Pipe / Sumpit : RM 6 (10 blow pipes)
2. Allan’s Water
Open daily from 9am till 4.30pm (with a lunch break for staff, closes at 7pm on weekends)
Boating : RM 10 per boat (2 persons – 15 minutes)
3. Taman Awam
Fun filled playground for the tiny tots.
Mini golf : RM 8 (30 minutes)
4. Bird Interpretive Center
Free to enter, the center is open on weekends from 10am to 7pm, perched on top floor. On weekdays, visitors may request the Puncak Inn staff to open its doors.
5. Jeriau Waterfall
Favourite spot for a family picnic. 4.5km from the town centre.
6. Others
Jungle Trekking (by early arrangement), Flying Fox (RM 20), Trikke (RM 8 adult, RM 6 children – 15 minutes) and Golf (20% discount for Puncak Inn Room Guest).
Strawberry Garden, Flower Nursery, Glass House (cactus) and Orchid Garden.
FRASER HILL ACCOMODATION
The current range of accommodation is suited for relatively small volumes of tourists, though this does not prevent overcrowding during peak season. Other than budget hotels and apartments, various colonial bungalows also offer a homestay experience.
